This year too, Bugatti Automobiles is represented at the exclusive automobile event “The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering”, one of the highlights of the Monterey Car Week currently underway in California.
The French super sports car brand is showing two Bugatti classics, a 1931 Type 51 and a 1,200 PS Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse from 2012, the world’s fastest production roadster, holding the speed record of 408.84 km/h (254.04 mph). Bugatti is using its presentation today to provide information on its Bugatti Certified program, which the brand launched several years ago to provide market support for the Veyron fleet. By awarding a Bugatti Certified seal, Bugatti ensures that a vehicle will also meet the highest technical and optical standards of the brand in the long term and lays a firm foundation for a sustained rise in values. As price developments show, this initiative has been successful. Recently, Bugatti also started to offer Veyron owners who opted for a 10-year extended warranty following the expiry of their new car warranty a further extension of five years within the framework of its Extended Warranty Plus.
In total, only 450 vehicles of the Veyron 16.4 series were produced. The 450th and last Veyron was sold at the beginning of 2015.
